Can Kaneki Eat Human Food. Shiba theorizes the Quinx are able to eat human food as long as their Rc levels remain below 1000 the minimal level for a normal ghoul. Kaneki was eating a minimal amount of human meat at the point Mado dragged him through but later he began eating other ghouls which increased his Rc level.
Kaneki was shocked to learn Rize was still alive in Kanous lab as an experiment during the lab raid. It is unknown what would happen should they exceed this threshold. May act as a Red Right Hand that reveals that the character isnt what they seem.
Aside from their Alien Lunch they may be unable to eat or be repulsed by human foods.
While the Quinx are not considered as normal half-ghouls due to their lower Rc cell levels and the ability to eat human food they are made from the concepts of Dr. Hes spent his entire life as a human before turning into a ghoul. They can survive for one or two months just feeding on one body. In other cases they can and will eat human food but the fact that they dont need to or may need to chow down on something else as well proves to be important.
